Gratitude is a wonderful way to bookend each day.
First thing in the morning, before you get swamped by the demands of work and family, write down 3 things you are grateful for.
Doing this will focus your mind on what is going well for you, and set you up to experience even more joy, abundance, hope, and trust.
Before you go to bed, reflect on everything that has happened today, and write down 3 things you are grateful for.
Doing this ensures that you go to bed with a thankful heart rather than a burdened one.
The mind is like Google.
When faced with an incomplete sentence e.g. “I am grateful for ___________”, it instantly goes on a quest to fill in the blanks.
It will not only bring back the 3 examples you asked for, but it will continue to search for more examples until you give it a new command.
You will find that your gratitude list quickly grows as you are reminded of this person who was kind to you … that person who taught you a valuable life lesson … and that time something happened that you could never have engineered by yourself.
“Where focus goes, energy flows.”
Be intentional about what you focus on.
Choose Gratitude. xx
