The Power of Permission

“And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.”

Marianne williamson, “our deepest fear”

I am so used to waiting for permission to do and say things, and even to be myself, that even as a working adult and a perfectly capable professional, I would not make “risky” decisions or take the initiative without first seeking permission to do so.

And I am not alone.

In my introvert online community, so many fellow introverts have admitted that they too are afraid to be themselves.

So they wait for permission to be told they are good enough, that their opinion is valuable, that they can speak.

I am here to tell you:

You do not need permission to be yourself, or to speak your truth, or to share your story, or to chase your dream.

The fact that you are alive right now says you have something powerful to contribute.

The world needs to hear your unique message, told in your unique way.

So be brave.

Take that first hesitant step.

You never know whose life you might change, what doors might open, when you let your light shine.

I am cheering for you, and so are all fellow introverts everywhere!

“Find a big enough reason to speak up.”
