After six months of consistent and wholehearted effort, I can sincerely say I enjoy networking, even though I am introverted by nature and being with large groups of people for hours can be overwhelming.
The secret?
I tweaked and tested and refined until I was able to network in a way that suits my quiet energy.
When you strip it back to its essence, networking — done well — can really be:
A platform for meaningful connection and conversation.
A catalyst for new ideas and collaborations.
A gathering place for kindred spirits.
If you would like your experience of networking to be more enjoyable and less draining, I am putting together a summary based on what I’ve learned while attending networking events.
