Here’s To The Thinkers

There’s a word for ‘people who are in their heads too much’: thinkers. — Susan Cain

Thank you Susan Cain for inspiring so many of us #introverts on our journey to self-acceptance and thence to celebrating what makes us unique.

At ourĀ introvertĀ meetups, I hear so many of our members seemingly lament that we are overthinkers, procrastinators, perfectionists, we take too long to think, don’t speak up as often as we could, hold back on our true opinions and thoughts etc etc.

So much of this comes from a fear of judgment and a perception that there is something wrong with being the way we are naturally wired to be.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a coach who works with introverts is helping quiet achievers, deep thinkers and sensitive souls to see beyond the label.

To first accept, acknowledge, embrace, and then celebrate ALL of how we show up in the world, regardless of what (we think) others may think or say.

When we are certain in the value we bring into the world, we will not be easily shaken or stirred by another’s opinion.

There is room enough for all of us.
