New podcast episode: How to support yourself in perimenopause

2023 was the year I got derailed by the four C’s.

Confusion.
Chaos.
(Loss of) Control.
(Loss of) Certainty.

Why does my brain feel slow and sluggish?

Why am I suddenly forgetting people’s names?

Why am I struggling to work out $50 – $10.50?

What’s happening to my body and my mind??

From someone who enjoyed planning and hosting regular events for my introvert community, I found my carefully curated calendar dissolving into chaos.

Several times, I discovered days before a much-anticipated event that I had to reschedule or cancel because I didn’t feel well enough to go for my regular walk, much less get on a train to the city.

The loss of certainty and control made me feel unprofessional. I felt guilty for letting others down, and worried that they would perceive me as unreliable, or doubt that things were as bad as I made them out to be.

While all this craziness was going on, I crossed paths with Amita Sharma, co-founder of NourishDoc, a global women’s wellness platform that aims to bring affordable, accessible, and holistic healthcare to women wherever they are in the world.

Amita noticed my posts about perimenopause and reached out for a conversation. She is a mine of wisdom about how to gracefully transition to perimenopause / menopause, and there is so much practical information in the conversation we shared that is life-enhancing and hope-restoring.

I invite you to share this episode with someone you know who is going through this new season in their lives, so your partner, sister, friend, or co-worker can know they are not alone, that there is help, and there is hope!
